Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy assists kids in acquiring the abilities required for daily tasks. This can involve everything from dressing, to playing, to writing, to hanging out with friends. Our mission is to assist kids in becoming as self-sufficient as they can while having a good time!

  • Sensory Integration- Several kids struggle with their ability to interpret sensory information. We help kids comprehend and regulate the sensory data they take in from their surroundings through our sensory integration therapy. Their capacity to focus, maintain composure, and participate in activities may all benefit from this.

  • Fine Motor Skills- We focus on enhancing the fine motor skills of the hands and fingers, which are essential for activities like writing, buttoning garments, and using cutlery. To make learning enjoyable for kids, activities are made to be both entertaining and stimulating.

  • Gross Motor Skills- Developing strong, coordinated movements is essential for many activities, such as walking, running, and jumping. Our therapy sessions include exercises and games that enhance balance, coordination, and strength.

  • Social Skills- Peer interaction has a crucial role in a child's growth. Children can learn and practice important social skills in our supportive social skills groups, like sharing, taking turns, and recognizing non-verbal cues.

  • Self-Care Skills- When it comes to everyday activities like eating, brushing their teeth, and getting dressed, we help kids become more independent. Our method is customized to meet the unique demands and developmental stage of every child.

Our Approach

Customized Treatment Programs

Every child is given a personalized treatment plan that takes into account both their areas of strength and need. To guarantee a comprehensive approach to the child's development, our therapists collaborate closely with families and other medical specialists.

Play-Based Therapy

The best method for kids to pick up new abilities, in our opinion, is through play. Our training sessions are made to be entertaining and interesting, with kid-friendly games and activities included.

Family Involvement

The involvement of parents and caregivers is crucial in the therapeutic process. To assist families in fostering their child's growth both at home and in the community, we offer training and tools.

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, HSA, FSA and Private Pay.
